General

Sydney is the busiest ARFF units in Australia, protecting more than 30 per cent of Australia’s total regular passenger transport aircraft. This unit provides a water rescue service with two boats, a domestic response vehicle (DRV) for fires, rescues, fire alarms and first aid calls, a Morita turn table ladder platform vehicle (TTLP) vehicle for Category 10 operations, and an incident command vehicle (ICV) for communications, command and control of operations . The DRV is provided in addition to the aviation response to assist with maintaining Category. It is staffed by one officer and two fire fighters.
