Hobart Airport, located just 17 kilometres from Australia’s southern most capital city along the Tasman Highway provides an international gateway to the island state’s famous heritage.
Hobart ARFF fire station was opened in 1956 after moving from Cambridge Airport to the new Hobart International Airport, this making the current fire station one of the oldest in Australia. In 1995 a water rescue service was reintroduced at Hobart to accommodate difficult terrain operations as water is situated on three sides of the aerodrome.
