Fire control centre upgrade

New fire control centre technology is being rolled out to all of Airservices 21 aviation rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) stations at a cost of $12 million.

The fire control centre (FCC) project involves the replacement of existing fire control centre systems within ARFF with a modern, fully integrated, digital system.

The new system incorporates the very latest technology, integrated communications, incident, dispatch, and resource management across Airservices fire stations giving fire fighters the best tools to manage the situation at hand.

A fully comprehensive operational training program has also been developed including online interactive training and hands-on training using the training simulator.
